To
activate virtual nameservers contact
us
and let us know you want them, we will then add a Virtual Nameserver
button in your Control Panel. Once we add the button, click the
"Virtual Nameserver" icon in your Control Panel, then
click "install." This will give you your nameserver information,
(NS.YOURNAME.COM & IP Numbers). Then register the name servers
it gives you with InterNIC by going to:
http://www.networksolutions.com/cgi-bin/makechanges/itts/host.
You will need to fill in the following
fields: 1) e-mail address
2) host name (here you will put in ns.yourname.com)
3) IP address (###.####.###.##)
4) NIC Handle (use the NIC handle you have been given in the
past when you registered a domain) You can look up your handle by
going here:
http://www.networksolutions.com/cgi-bin/whois/whois
Enter your domain without the www, your handle will appear after
your name.
Then send in the form.
Repeat the process for NS2.YOURNAME.COM using the appropriate information
and IP number that is given to you in the control panel.
Registration usually take several days, so you won't be able to
add domains on your virtual nameservers until registration is complete.
