To activate
virtual nameservers, also known as DNS, contact
us and let us know you want them. We will then
add a Virtual Nameserver button to your Control Panel. Once the
button is added, click the "Virtual Nameserver" button
in your Control Panel and choose "Install." It will give
you your nameserver information, (NS.YOURNAME.COM & IP Numbers).
Make sure to then register the name servers you are assigned with
InterNIC by going to:
http://www.networksolutions.com/cgi-bin/makechanges/itts/host
When registering,
you will need to fill in the following fields:
1) E-mail address
2) Host name (here you will put in ns.yourname.com)
3) IP address (###.####.###.##)
4) NIC Handle (use the NIC handle you have been given in the
past when you registered a domain)
You can look up your handle by going here:
http://www.networksolutions.com/cgi-bin/whois/whois
Enter your domain without the "www". Your handle will
appear after your name.
You are then ready to send in the form.
Repeat the process for NS2.YOURNAME.COM using the appropriate information
and IP number that was given to you in the control panel.
Registration usually take several days, so you won't be able to
add domains on your virtual nameservers until registration is complete.
